Say several expenses at once, snap the receipt or upload your card statement: Kesef builds the transactions with their category, and you review them.

In short

Kesef logs expenses without typing in three ways: by voice, saying several expenses at once (3 free sessions in total, then Kesef Pro); with a photo of the receipt or a screenshot (3 free uploads in total, then Pro); and with your card statement PDF (Pro), which detects each purchase, categorises it and adds the remaining instalments.

The hard part of tracking expenses isn't understanding them: it's logging them. Kesef uses artificial intelligence for that and only that: it listens to what you say, reads the receipt or the statement, and leaves the transactions ready for you to review. This page brings the three ways together, with what's free and what's Kesef Pro.

The three ways, at a glance

HowWhat it readsFree planKesef Pro

Photo or screenshotA receipt, a payment confirmation or a screenshot of a transaction list3 image uploads in totalUnlimited
Statement imageEach purchase on the statement, with its instalmentsUses one of those 3 image uploadsUnlimited
Statement PDFEach purchase, tax or fee, with its instalmentsNoYes

The free allowances are in total, not per month, and they're two separate ones: 3 voice sessions and 3 image uploads. Each session or upload can save several transactions, and it only counts when you save.

By voice: several expenses in one go

Tap «+», choose Voice and say what you spent however it comes out: "coffee 3500 and fuel 20 thousand on the Visa". Kesef splits out each expense, with its amount and category, and shows them for review before saving. Each recording lasts up to 30 seconds.

It understands how people in Argentina talk about money: "40 lucas" is 40,000, "2 palos" is 2 million, "50k" is 50,000, and "mangos", "guita" or "plata" mean pesos. "Verdes" are dollars.

With a receipt photo or a screenshot

Take a photo of the receipt or upload a screenshot, and Kesef reads the total, the date, the merchant and the currency, and suggests the category and payment method from your own. A receipt with many items is one expense, for the total. A screenshot of your bank or wallet activity becomes one transaction per line. You can upload up to 5 images at once.

From your card statement

Upload the statement PDF you downloaded from online banking, with Kesef Pro, and Kesef creates one transaction per purchase, tax or fee, with its category. It skips the card payment. And for each instalment purchase ("Cuota 3/6", "C.03/06") it also adds the remaining ones, in the months ahead.

Without Pro, you can take a photo or screenshot of the statement: it uses one of the 3 free image uploads. The PDF has to contain text (not a scan), have no password and be under 4 MB, and up to 100 transactions are read per file.

What the AI does and doesn't do

  • It reads and suggests; you decide. Everything it builds shows up for you to review, fix or delete, and nothing is saved until you tap Save.
  • It categorises with your own categories and payment methods, not a generic list.
  • It runs on a server, not on your phone: you need a connection.
  • It doesn't split a receipt item by item or keep the photo attached to the expense.
  • It doesn't connect to your bank: it reads what you say or upload.

To read, the audio or the image is sent, along with the names of your categories and payment methods so it can choose from your own and, depending on the case, your first name (for images) or the names of your groups and their members (for voice). Your transaction history and balances aren't sent. The details are on each feature page and in the privacy policy.

Frequently asked questions

Does Kesef use artificial intelligence?

Yes, for logging expenses: a model on a server understands what you say and reads receipts, screenshots and PDF statements, and builds the transactions with their category. You review them before saving. It doesn't connect to your bank.

How many free voice and photo entries do I get?

3 voice sessions and 3 image uploads (photo, screenshot or statement image), in total and not per month. They're separate allowances, and each one can save several transactions. After that, voice and photo are part of Kesef Pro. The statement PDF is Pro only.

Does it understand Argentine slang for money?

Yes. Voice logging understands "luca" (a thousand), "palo" (a million), "k" (a thousand), and "mangos", "guita" or "plata" as pesos; "verdes" are dollars.

Does it read the instalments on my card statement?

Yes. If a line says "Cuota 3/6" or "C.03/06", it adds that instalment and the remaining ones in the months ahead. If that instalment was already logged, it warns you so it isn't duplicated.

Does it work offline?

No. Reading the audio, image or PDF is done by a model on a server, so you need a connection. Logging by hand does work offline.
