Each term has its own page: the definition in one sentence at the top, how it works in general, how it differs from similar ones and the questions that usually come with it. No live quotes or rates: those change every day and live in the official sources each page links to.

The terms

What the glossary doesn't do

  • It doesn't publish quotes or rates. They go stale in a day; the pages say where the official figure is.
  • It doesn't recommend. Explaining what an instrument is isn't saying it's a good idea: that depends on each person, and Kesef isn't an adviser.
  • It doesn't replace the source. Each term cites where what it says comes from, with a review date.

Educational content. No definition is an investment recommendation or financial advice.

Frequently asked questions

Which terms will be added?

The ones people search with "what is": mutual funds and money market, UVA fixed-term deposits, TNA, TEA and CFT, CER, caución, the aguinaldo, inflation, small leaks. They show up on this page when published.

Do the definitions apply outside Argentina?

The general ones do (inflation, rate, instalment). The ones specific to the Argentine system, like the MEP dollar or UVA deposits, are marked as such and explain the context.
