# Kesef widgets: your spending on your iPhone Home Screen

> Six widgets for the iPhone Home Screen and Lock Screen: monthly spending, budgets, categories and quick actions to log by voice. Free.

The best way not to overspend is to find out early, and that shouldn't require opening an app. Kesef's widgets put your numbers on your iPhone's Home Screen and Lock Screen: how much you've spent compared with last month, which budget is about to go over and a button to log an expense by speaking. They're free and work on iPhone with iOS 17 or later.

## The six widgets

- Monthly spending: what you've spent so far, day by day, with a dotted line for last month, so you can see whether you're going faster or slower. Small, medium and on the Lock Screen.
- Income & expenses: what came in, what went out and how much you have left. Small and medium.
- Budgets: what's left in each one, the one about to go over first. Small, medium, large and on the Lock Screen.
- Budgets by category: one ring per category, with its emoji. Small and medium.
- Categories: where the money went this month. Small and medium.
- Quick actions: log by voice, an expense or income, or jump to your activity, in one tap. Small and medium.

## On the Lock Screen

Monthly spending and Budgets also go under the clock: press and hold the Lock Screen, tap Customize and add Kesef. You see how much you've spent, or how your budgets are doing, without unlocking your phone.

## How to add them

Press and hold an empty spot on the Home Screen, tap Edit → Add Widget, search for Kesef and swipe to choose the widget and size. Inside the app, in More → Widgets, you'll find examples and the step-by-step.

> Widgets update every time you use Kesef, not in real time: they show your numbers as they were the last time you opened the app. They follow your period, so if your month starts on payday, monthly spending does too.

## Log an expense without opening the app

Quick actions opens voice logging directly: tap the mic, say "coffee 4.50" and you're done. And if you prefer Siri, Kesef has a shortcut that records the expense without opening the app (from iOS 16); for now its name is in Spanish, "Kesef - Registrar gasto". For iPhone payments to come in on their own there's the Apple Pay automation, which is part of Kesef Pro.

- [Log the whole day's expenses by talking, in one go](https://getkesef.app/en/features/voice-expense-tracking): Voice logging: say the expense and Kesef records it.
- [Your Apple Pay payments, logged on their own](https://getkesef.app/en/features/apple-pay): Have your Apple Pay payments come in on their own.
- [Category budgets that tell you how much you can spend per day](https://getkesef.app/en/features/budgets): The budgets the widgets show.

## iPhone only, and free

The widgets are for iPhone, with iOS 17 or later. There are no Kesef widgets on Android for now. All of them are free: none needs Kesef Pro.
